Ceiling drapes
Fabric ceilings that conceal roof steel, cabling and services, installed flat edge-to-edge or gathered into a canopy. Rigged from venue fly points, truss, or freestanding ground support where the venue allows no rigging. Chiffon sheer and cotton-backed chiffon are the usual fabrics.
Cream chiffon ceiling draping for Dior
Multi-layered chiffon over a Lux Mocha base, finished with custom swags and a pelmet. The crew worked through many iterations on site to precisely match a reference image Dior had created in Italy.

Floor-to-ceiling drapes that cover a single wall or wrap the full venue perimeter, giving production teams a clean surface for lighting and projection. Heights from 2.5m to 12m.

Custom 6m pleated wall drapes for Carla Zampatti
A bespoke 6m-high pleated drape range, around 150 metres of it, custom
manufactured in-house for the launch. It became our permanent Lux Range, now stocked in Lux White, Mocha and Grey at 2.5m, 3.6m and 6m heights.
Backdrops
Stage and runway backdrops, from a single flat panel to full-width gathered fabric behind a main stage. Velvet for depth and blackout, chiffon for layering, star cloth when the backdrop itself is lit.
Black velvet backdrops for Australian Fashion Week
Full venue draping across the main halls, five years running since 2021. Pre-rigged backdrop draping swapped between designers on the same showday. Around 650 to 700 linear metres covering the entire halls, drawingon our stock of 167 nine-metre black velvet drapes. We won the workafter the previous supplier closed, scaling up at short notice.

How much does event draping cost in Sydney?
Every job is quoted individually based on venue size, drop height, fabric choice and install access.
The full stock list with hire prices is on our stock page, and our Drape Planning Tool lets you choose fabrics, set heights, visualise and run the numbers yourself. Full-service quotes include delivery, installation, standby where needed, and pack-down.
Do you install the draping, or can we do it ourselves?
Both. Full service means we deliver, install and pack down everything, coordinated around your AV, lighting and staging teams. Equipment hire with delivery to site sits in between: we deliver and collect, you handle the install. Dry hire is available for production professionals who prefer self-pickup from our Turrella warehouse (some exceptions apply).
Are the drapes fire retarded?
Yes. All our drapes are fire-retarded to Australian standard AS 1530 (parts 2 and 3), with compliance certificates available for venue sign-off. We use the world's leading VOC-free retardant product on all our drapes.

What we do
Events Horizon is a specialist draping company based in Turrella, Sydney. We design, supply, and install draping for events of every scale, from a single backdrop panel to full venue wraps. We work directly with event producers, AV companies, creative agencies, venue managers, and brands across corporate, fashion, television, exhibition, and live event sectors.
Our drape and curtain hire inventory includes velvet (in black, blue, burgundy, grey, navy, and red), chiffon sheer, chiffon with cotton backing, flat wool, Liquid Gold, Liquid Silver, and our Lux range in Mocha and White. We also carry star cloth, velvet borders, truss socks, and push-up socks. Drape heights run from 2.5 metres to 12 metres.
